Carrie Nation Poster #16259
Carry A. Nation (1846-1911) was a household name in the early 1900's. Known for her anti-alcohol saloon smashing campaigns she invaded saloons with hatchet in hand and proceeded to destroy mirrors, glasses, bottles and furniture to fight "Demon Rum". It was her duty to "Carry A Nation for Prohibition". Later, she traveled on the lecture circuit, vaudeville theaters and carnivals.
Replica of a rare lecture poster from the KSHS Museum collections who own a number of her personal effects.
